UAB "Sakas" is a rapidly growing wood processing company specializing in this field since 2004. Long-term experience ensures qualified customer service and high-quality products offered at competitive prices, including standard and custom pallets, pallet collars, construction wood, and packaging wood. The company’s production facility is located in Anykščiai. The primary activity according to EVRK 2nd edition is "16.10.00 – Sawmilling and Planing of Wood."
Currently, one of the main challenges faced by the company is rising energy costs and associated financial expenses. Therefore, for effective business management, it is essential to invest in cost-saving measures. Moreover, the company has priority for sustainable operations, adhering to best environmental practices. Accordingly, the company strives to implement technologies that support these principles.
To ensure targeted investments and evaluate the best possible energy-saving measures, an audit of energy, energy resources, and water usage in technological processes and equipment was decided. Based on the audit results, the company will make targeted investments in energy-efficient solutions.
During the project, UAB "Sakas" will install a 150 kWp solar power plant, which will produce approximately 142,500 kWh of electricity annually. This investment will significantly contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the company’s energy consumption balance and promote greater use of RES in the industrial sector. The project will also help mitigate Lithuania’s climate change impact, address air pollution issues, and reduce energy dependence on imported energy sources.
